Eileen Hoekstra’s Birthday Fundraiser!

In memory of Eileen Hoekstra

About Eileen

It’s that time of year again! It’s time for the 6th Annual Eileen Hoekstra Birthday Fundraiser!

Eileen loved celebrating her birthday and we often joked it was more like a birthday week or even a month! In honor of her birthday on September 7th, we are once again raising money for her favorite charity, the Northfield Township Food Pantry.

Eileen volunteered at the Food Pantry during her last few years. She also volunteered for many years in the OLPH Sharing Room. Her devotion and concern for those less fortunate is the memory that we, as her family, like to honor. Please join us in helping those struggling with food insecurity and remembering Eileen at the same time.

In the last 6 years, we have raised over $80,000 for the Northfield Township Food Pantry. How incredible is that?

Our fundraising goal this year is $15,000 which would bring us to over $95,000 raised. We may have to change the goal to $20,000 to reach that $100,000 mark. What do you think?!

Please donate if you can during the “Eileen Hoekstra Fundraiser” from 8/29/25 – 9/14/25.

With gratitude and love,
BJ, Bri, and Brian Hoekstra and Connie and Zach Libman

About the Northfield Township Food Pantry

The Northfield Township Food Pantry was started over 50 years ago to assist Township residents who are unable to provide enough food for themselves and their families. In April 2003, the Pantry became a 501c3 organization and an agency of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.  Today, many hundreds of Township families are eligible to visit the Pantry to receive perishable and non-perishable food items and grocery store cards.

No tax dollars are used to supply the Pantry. The Pantry is sustained entirely by residents, civic organizations, schools, businesses and the faith community who generously donate food items, grocery store cards and cash.
